Norcross Tree Board

Downey Trees nominated the Norcross Tree Preservation Board for the Georgia Urban Forest Council’s Award for Outstanding Civic Organization for their efforts in tree planting and preservation, education, and community outreach pertaining to the urban forest of the City of Norcross. The Board received the Grand Award in this category.

Albany, Ga. Tornado Relief

January 2017 – Downey sends crews to storm-ravaged South West Georgia to help in the relief effort.

White Chapel Cemetery

2015-2017 – Christmas Tree lighting and tree work.

Needy Family Sponsorship

BOMA Georgia and HomeAid Care Day

November 2016 – Downey provides mulch and hands to spread it as this group of volunteers works to renovate Solomon’s Temple, a facility dedicated to helping homeless women with families start new lives and take steps toward financial independence.
